What language will we speak?
The sessions are conducted in English and Italian. The majority of the participants are non-Italian.
I have never practiced clown or theater. Can I participate?
Yes of course! You needn’t have clown or theater experience to practice Lunar Clowning.
How do I get there?
Train or car to Ostuni (google maps for directions), flight to Brindisi (a little closer) or Bari (a little more distant), then public transport (bus or train) to Bari/or Brindisi main station, and train to Ostuni.
Do you have a car service from the airport/railway station?
Contact us with your arrival time at the Ostuni station, and we will see that someone gets you free of charge. From the airports, the charges are as follows:
Bari airport 70 € (to be divided among the passengers)
Brindisi airport 35€ (divided among the passengers)
Can I have a single room?
In general for the workshops we don’t offer single rooms.
Do the rooms have private baths?
In general for the workshops we don’t offer rooms with private baths. In some few cases you must leave the structure for using the bath.

How are the days structured? / What are the work hours?
Variable, but in general we work from 9.30 to 1pm, and again from 3.30 to 7.30 pm. Apart from lunch and supper breaks, we have short breaks during each session.
We practice body and voice work, theater games, group and individual clown improvisations, with frequent feedback. The work takes place both inside and outside the structure.
Can I participate in the workshop, but only weekends?
No, in order to respect the nature and communal aspects of the work, we don’t allow partial participation in the workshops.
Can I arrive a day earlier/stay on a day longer?
In general, yes, by arranging with us beforehand, and paying a small supplementary price.
I am vegetarian, vegan, nut or wheat intolerant, etc. Can you adapt your menu to my dietary needs?
Yes, of course. With advance warning we can adjust your menu accordingly.
I heard there is a night out, eating in a local restaurant. Is this included in the price of the workshop?
No, it is not.
Do I have to bring my own towels or bedsheets?
No. We provide them.
